The Sisters of the Eucharistic Covenant Associate Program was founded to answer the call of lay people--married and single, men and women, who had a special spiritual connection to the Sisters of the Eucharistic Covenant. These individual also expressed a need for direction in their spiritual growth. Now, SEC Associates, through spiritual activities and service to the people of God, help to fulfill the mission of the Sisters of the Eucharistic Covenant to enable others to discover Christ's Presence in their lives and in the lives of others.
An SEC Associate is someone who:
Desires a deeper experience of union with God through communication with the Sisters of the Eucharistic Covenant;
Feels called to enflesh the charism of presence in his/her daily life;
Desires to deepen one's relationship with the community.
At present, there are approximately 147 SEC Associates who are involved in the life of SEC, supporting and nurturing the Sisters in their journey, and in turn, being nurtured by the Community.
The SEC Associate:
Participates in the SEC Annual Day of Prayer;
Participates in significant events in the life of the Community, i.e., Vow Masses, Anniversaries, Associate Meetings;
Unites oneself in living the eucharistic charism of the Community in one's personal ministry;
Considers committing oneself to assisting in the mission of the Community, i.e., assisting with mailouts, receptions, liturgies, etc.
